Here we’ve collated a list of some great games to try online that we are sure you will be a fan of.
There are some more niche games that appear alongside some mega-hits which we think you might have heard of.
1. Cyberpunk 2077
Launched around 12 months ago in December 2020 to much controversy, we are glad to say that after much post-release tweaking and bug fixing, Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game that you can get stuck into when you need some time to unwind.
Based in the not too distant future, the game, developed by CD Projekt, is certain to draw you in and immerse you.
2. Minecraft
Despite now being a veteran of the gaming space, both online and offline, Minecraft is a game that has been able to hold onto a sizable audience over the past decade.
Despite not being a game that is overly complex and difficult to play, Minecraft really is what you make of it; the amount of fun you can have depends on how creative you can be.
3. Angry Birds
An absolute gaming classic, the Angry Birds franchise has been going strong for the best part of a decade since it debuted back in 2009 and has been consistently on our screens since then.
Although somewhat basic in its infancy, the franchise has been able to stay ahead of the curve and stay current by being able to release new spin-offs at an impressively fast rate.
4. Rocket Royale
Much like Apex Legends, Warzone, and Fortnite, Rocket Royal is a unique battle royale game that pits players against each other in a crazily big arena.
What makes this game unique is the objective, with the developers adding an interesting element that makes it different from the others.
Your task, if you dare try to achieve it, is to build a rocket and escape the island.
5. Sonic Forces
A product of the legendary publishing platform Sega, Sonic Forces was bound to be a hit with players from the moment it was released.
Released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog’s debut, it was praised for the visuals, voice acting, and character customization system that helped bring the franchise into the current era.
6. Asphalt 9: Legends
The latest fully developed game in the legendary Asphalt series, Legends, is a racing game released by Gameloft back in 2018.
It featured new cars, an improved control system, and a hugely boosted graphics system when compared to its 2013 predecessor.
Are you a fan of console-based video games? If so, we think you’ll love Asphalt 9: Legends!
7. The Last of Us Part 2
A sequel to the hit video game The Last of Us, this game picks up where the first installment left off and went down an absolute treat with fans of the game, developing an even bigger following.
The only downside is that the sequel is also a Playstation exclusive game, and so you should count yourself lucky if you have a Sony console because otherwise, you’d really be missing out!
8. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The video game that kept the world ticking over for the past 18 months, New Horizons, is the latest installment in the much-loved Animal Crossing franchise.
This game might be the game to play when you’re bored because of how much time you can spend rearranging your island and trading items with your friends online.
What isn’t there to love about it?
9. Miles Morales
The video game to accompany the insanely popular Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales, acts as a standalone title that explores the life of the young Spider-Man and fleshes out his relatively young story.
You can roll back the years and explore New York City just like many of us did in the original Spider-Man games on the original Xbox console.
10. Star Wars Squadrons
Not a game for the faint-hearted, Star Wars Squadrons is all engaging, putting you in the cockpit of some of your favorite Star Wars ships and will have you unable to tell which way is up.
The fun you can have is endless, with there being so many different offline missions for you to attempt as well as a hugely popular online mode where you can team up and fight.
11. FIFA 22
The latest installment of perhaps the most popular video game in the world, EA’s latest soccer game isn’t all that dissimilar from the previous video game, which came out a year earlier.
The online aspect of the game is what makes it such a hit with players with FIFA Ultimate Team, allowing you to build a roster of superstars and play your way to the top.
