TikTok is Testing Direct Profile Links to Websites

This could be one of the biggest updates to TikTok yet. The popular video-sharing app is apparently considering adding a new URL feature on its profile bios, which means that just like Instagram, you would be able to drive traffic directly to your website through the app.

The new option would allow its users to add a custom link below the TikTok bio, and it would be highlighted by pink text, similar to how Instagram bio links are highlighted in blue.

As we mentioned, an option like this would help creators and brands drive traffic to their products or websites, which of course, could mean that brands now have a way to establish a strong presence on TikTok as well.

Knowing that they could use their TikTok profile to grow their client database, there’s every chance that this new feature will attract brands in all different types of industries.

Of course, this aspect of online marketing is key to boost profits, so being able to market on different platforms like TikTok is a great way for brands to expand their marketing strategy and broaden their horizons.

Building an audience through a specific platform that caters to a certain type of content is great for brand awareness, however, if you want to make the most of this growth and turn it into sales, you’ve got to be able to link them back to home base.

TikTok is even testing out, including shopping links in videos, which again is a feature that you can already find on Instagram. Naturally, with something like this, it makes sense to take it to the next level and include URLs in the bio as well.

TikTok is all about boosting its appeal right now to reach a broader audience, and as far as we can tell, it’s working.
