TikTok’s Most Popular Influencer Just Went to Prada’s Show

If you’re on TikTok and you know what’s what, then you’ll most likely either have heard of Charli D’Amelio or are already following her. This 15-year-old dancer has an impressive 28 million TikTok followers, and 7 million over on Instagram. Just to try and understand how popular she is, think of stars like Britney Spears or Miley Cryus when she was Hannah Montana.

However, the biggest turn in her career right now is that she’s managed to transcend fame in other ways, which means that it’s possible that you’ve now heard of her even if you aren’t on TikTok. This is because she was recently invited to go to Prada’s fashion show in Milan.

TikTok teens and high fashion is a pretty new concept, and they emulate what bloggers were a decade ago. All the way back in 2009, Dolce and Gabbana decided to invited bloggers like Garance Dore and Bryanboy to their September fashion show to sit front row, and it changed the way that people saw the industry.

While it was a big deal back then, it appears to be slowly becoming a normal thing to see online influencers capture the attention of high fashion labels.

You may already know that Prada isn’t the only one to invite stars from Generation Z to its show. YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is now an official vlogger for Louis Vuitton, and Chase Hudson from TikTok got to see Dolce & Gabbana’s main event in Milan just recently.

There’s a change in the air, and as long as teens have access to apps like TikTok, we have a feeling that this trend will continue to gain more and more traction.
